Four Brothers
At 8.30 A.M.
on the 29th January it was reported to the Coxswain that a vessel was flying signals of distress about four miles N. W.
of Bull Bay. The Life-boat James Gullen was launched in a very heavy sea, and on reaching the vessel, which proved to be the schooner Four Brothers, of Runcorn, found that she had been abandoned. With great difficulty five men were placed on board and setting the head sail brought her into the straits, where a steamer was engaged to tow her to Bangor..
