1. That the Annual Report be adopted, printed and circulated.

ledge the very valuable help rendered to the cause by the Honorary Local Committees, Honorary Secretaries and Treasurers, by the various Life- boat Saturday Fund Committees as well as by the Ladies' Auxiliaries and the Public Press.

2. That H.R.H. The PRINCE OF WALES, K.G., be elected President, and that the Noblemen and Gentle- men who have been nominated be the Officers of the Institution for the current year.

4. That the best thanks of this Meeting be given to the Right Hon.

The EARL OF CREWE, K.G., for so kindly presiding over this the Eighty- Sixth Annual General Meeting of the ROYAL NATIONAL LIFE-BOAT INSTI- TUTION.

That this Meeting, fully recog- nizing the important services of the ROYAL NATIONAL LIFE-BOAT INSTITU- TION in its national work of life- saving, desires to record its cordial appreciation of the gallantry so fre- quently exhibited by the Coxswains and Crews of the Institution's Life- boats and also to gratefully acknow- 5. Before the close of the Meeting COLONEL SIR FitzRoy CLAYTON, K.C.V.O., V.P., referred to the great loss which had befallen His Grace the DUKE OF NORTHUMBERLAND, K.G., by the death of his eldest son, EARL PERCY. The Life-boat cause owed a great deal to the House of Percy which had been associated with the Institution since its formation.

A vote of condolence with His Grace was carried.
