Cape Wrath

On the after noon of the 13th October the Coxswain )f the Life-boat John and Henrietta ibserved a steamer take the ground on ,he Burbo Bank. The sea was rough it the time and appeared to make a ;lean breach over her. The Life-boat- men were assembled, and without loss of time the boat proceeded to her assistance. She proved to be the steamer Gape Wrath,, of Glasgow, bound 'or Cork with a cargo of coal. The master declined to leave his vessel and as she was in a bad position the Cox- swain decided to stand by her. He remained until 7.30, when the wind Slaving changed the vessel got off on the flood tide. The Life-boat then returned to her station, arriving at 9.30 P.M..
