A Fishing Coble

On the 31st August a fishing coble of South Shields had been out salmon fishing, when the N.E. wind freshened to the force of a strong breeze and the sea became heavy. In attempting to return to port the oars were broken and the two men in the boat were obliged to anchor. Seeing that the boat was in danger the Life-boat J. McGonnel Hussey was despatched to her assistance and brought both the boat and her occupants into safety..
