Claudia, Fernland and Lady Adeline

The Coxswain of the Life-boat Queensbury when returning from the fishing-ground at 8 A.M. on the 1st June, experienced very great difficulty in making the harbour and incurred considerable risk in the prevailing E.S.E. gale. He therefore launched the Life-boat and proceeded to the coble Claudia which was then in sight making for the harbour. As the sea was very heavy for the coble the two men were transferred to the Life-boat which returned ashore with the coble in tow. Two other cobles, the Fernland and Lady Adeline, each containing two men, were also saved in a similar manner..
