At 1.45 P.M. on the 13th February signals of distress were observed from the cutter Eva, of Liverpool, at anchor in a dangerous part of Fishguard Bay: she was dragging her anchors and the three men on board feared she might run ashore. It was low water at the time and the Life-boat was unable to proceed then, but as soon as it was possible she was launched and made for the cutter.
