It was a some- what stormy evening on the 30th April, and in consequence only two cobles put to sea. The E.N.E. wind was light but the sea was heavy, and towards nightfall became heavier; the Coxswain therefore launched the Life-boat to protect the boats. Meanwhile one of them suc- ceeded in getting ashore, but the other awaited the Life-boat and was escorted in without accident..
