Whilst the small fishing-boats were returning from the fishing-grounds on the 9th January, the sea became so heavy at the mouth of the harbour that the Life-boat TheopMlm Sidney Eclialaz was launched to stand by and assist the boats. The sea was breaking very heavily, and crossing the bar was attended with great danger. Happily however all the fishing-craft succeeded in getting into harbour without accident and the Life- boat returned ashore..
