Dashing Wave
Information reached Harwich about 4.20 P.M. on the 21st January that a vessel was on the Cork Sands, amd the steam Life-boat City of Glasgow proceeded to her.
They found she was the schooner Dashing Wave, of Fowey, bound from Dunkirk to Ipswich. The crew were preparing to leave the ship, but on the arrival of the Life-boat the crew were engaged to try and salve her, and in this they were eventually successful.
The weather was moderate but foggy at the time of the accident..
