A Fishing Boat

On the 6th January two members of the Life- boat's crew were out fishing in one of the small boats belonging to Skegness, when a north-westerly gale sprang up, and shortly after three o'clock in the after- noon their mast carried away. In con- sequence of their signalling for assist- ance the Life-boat Ann, John and Mary was launched with all despatch and succeeded in picking them up before darkness set in; had they failed to do this the men would undoubtedly have perished, the wind and sea having in- creased greatly before the return of the Life-boat..
