GORLESTON, NORFOLK. — The coastguard having informed the coxswain of the Life-boat Marie Lane that a vessel was burning flares in Yarmouth Roads, while a whole gale was blowing from the E., accompanied by a heavy sea, on the 31st January, the Life-boat was launched at 11 P.M., and found the brigantine Volant, of and from Limerick, bound for West Hartlepool, riding at one anchor, her other cable having parted. As she was driving towards the Outer Bank, the Life-boat stood by her during the night, and on the following morning the vessel was towed into the harbour..
