RAMSEY, ISLE OF MAN.—The schooner Ellesmere, of Runcorn, bound for Liverpool, with potatoes, had her mainsail and top-gallant sail torn in a gale from E. by S., on the 8th February, and anchored about three-quarters of a mile E.N.E. of the harbour. She was in a dangerous position, being near a lee shore, and in response to her signals for assistance the Life-boat Mary Isabella was launched at 9.30 A.M., and rescued her crew of three men.
