PALLING, NORFOLK.—While a moderate wind was blowing from E. by N., accompanied by a heavy sea and a dense fog, on the 26th February, the Coxswain of the Life-boat was informed that a vessel was riding in a dangerous position near the outer bank at Waxham and about a mile south of Palling. The crew andhelpers were at once summoned, horses were obtained and the Life-boat Good Hope was taken on her transporting carriage to Waxbam, where she was launched at 11.15 A.M., and fonnd the vessel was the ketch Ada Gane, of and from Harwich for South Shields, in ballast. The Life-boat stood by her two and a half hours, when the tide flowed and, the wind having shifted to 8.E., she was able to get out of danger..
