Alice
On the morning of the 30th September, information by telephone was received stating that the services of the Life-boat were needed by a boat in danger at Winterton Ness. A strong gale was then blowing from S.S.E., accompanied by a very heavy sea. At 9.30 the Life-boat BeaucJiamp was launched and found the boat Alice, of Great Yarmouth, returning home from fishing, riding at anchor in the broken water. The Life-boat anchored to windward, veered down to her and rescued her crew of three men who were in an exhausted condition and BO white from the salt water which had drenched them as tobe unrecognizable.
