RAMSEY, ISLE OF MAN.—In response to signals of distress the Life-boat MaryItabella was launched at 3.46 P.M. on the 12th January, in a whole gale from W.N.W. and a rough sea. On reaching the vessel, the schooner Twin Sisters, of and from Drummore, laden with turnips, for Liverpool, it was found that she was riding heavily and was slightly dragging her anchors. Her crew of three men being anxious to leave her were taken into the Life-boat and landed at 4.30.

The vessel however was fortunately in a good anchorage and rode out the gale..
