Yacht Colleen

GREENORE, Co. LOUTH.—The schooner yacht Colleen, of Leith, lost one of her anchors and had the other disabled in a very heavy squall on the 27th August, and stranded about fifty yards W. of the Earl Kock, in Carlingford Lough. In response to her signals of distress, the Life-boat Sir Arthur Blackwood was launched at 1.29 p.m., and put two men on board to assist the crew. The Lifeboat's anchor was laid out, and by means of this the yacht was got off into deep water, and was enabled to proceed to Warrenpoint. Mr. Basil Hall, who was at the station on his periodical visit of inspection, went in the Life-boat on this occasion..
