Robin Hood
WINTERTON.—The Wold Light-vessel fired rockets and guns on the morning of the 7th February, in response to which the Life-boat Margaret put off at 4,25, went to the Middle Hasborough Sand, and searched the sand, but could not findany vessel. She then spoke the steamtug Gleaner, which towed her to the Light-ship, and on arriving there it was ascertained that a shipwrecked crew were on board. The four men were taken into the Life-boat and safely landed. They stated that the Life-boat had passed them, but having no light, they were unable to attract attention. The tug then towed the Life-boat to Winter ton, which was reached at 8.25 A.M. The wrecked vessel was the ketch Robin Hood, of Plymouth, bound from Fowey for Dundee with china clay..
