Resolutions Passed at the Annual General Meeting for 1897

1. That the Annual Report be adopted, printed and circulated.

Seconded by Admiral SEYMOUR, C.B., Admiral Superintendent of Naval Reserves.

2. That this Meeting, recognizing the national importance of the great life - saving work of the ROYAL NATIONAL LIFE - BOAT INSTITUTION, and having entire confidence in its management, desires to express its high appreciation of the gallantry of the Life-boat Coxswains and Crews, and of the valuable and self- denying aid given to the cause by the Local Honorary Secretaries, Treasurers, Committees and the Press, as well as by the numerous "Life-boat Saturday" and "Ladies Auxiliary " Committees up and down the country.

4. That the best thanks of this Meeting be given to the Right Hon. G. J. GOSCHEN, M.P., First Lord of the Admiralty, for so kindly presiding over this the Seventy-third Annual Meeting of the ROYAL NATIONAL LIFE-BOAT INSTITUTION..
