ALDEBURGH.— A message by telephone was received from the Ship wash Lightvessel,Lightvessel, on the evening of the 12th April, reporting that a vessel was stranded on the Shipwash Sands. A strong N.W.

breeze was blowing, accompanied by squalls of snow, and the sea was rough.

The Life-boat Aldebiirgh was launched at 4.58, eight minutes after the message arrived, and found the ship MacMillan, of Glasgow, in ballast from London for Frederickstadt, stranded near the middle of the sands, with her ensign flying, union down, in the mizen rigging. The master of the vessel gave up charge to the Lifeboat men, with the view of their getting the ship off the sands, and at high water this having been accomplished she returned to Gxavesend..
