LITTLEHAVEN.—The smack Sarah, of Milford, bound from Solva to Pembroke Dock, laden with grain, showed a signal of distress, as she was dragging her anchor, while a strong gale was blowing from N.W., with a heavy sea at 11.30A.M.

on the 24th March. The Life-boat David Pickard promptly went to her assistance and returned ashore at 1 P.M. with the crew of two men. The wind fortunately moderated and changed to a W. direction, and the vessel, which ultimately brought up in a dangerous position, held to her anchors; had the squall continued halfan- bour longer she would in all probability have been completely wrecked..
