HOLYISLAND.—A terrible snowstorm was experienced on the 6th February, and the wind increasing to a gale from S.S.E. a heavy sea sprung up. Twelve of the fishing-boats were unable to take the harbour, and ran ashore N. of Emanuel Head, their crews being assisted out of the water by men on the island. The No. 1 Life-boat Grace Darling put off to the assistance of three other boats, which were enabled to enter the harbour, although considerable risk was incurred in doing so..
