Wagrien
On the 28th March a message by telephone was received stating that a schooner was close in shore evidently making for Mont rose. As a strong gale was blowingfrom the E. and there was a very heavy sea on the bar, the Life-boat Robert Henderson was launched and proceeded to the assistance of the vessel, which proved to be the Wagrien, of Aberdeen, bound from Middlesbrough for Fraserburgh.
In sailing into Montrose she had taken the ground on the tail of the Annat Bank, but in consequence of the strong wind she bumped over and was safely moored at the jetty. She was leaking badly..
