GILES' QUAY, DUNDALK.—The schooner Velocity, of and from Carnarvon, bound for Dundalk, laden with slates, while endeavouring to enter her port of destination, a whole gale of wind blowing from the S., accompanied by a heavy sea and thick weather, on the 15th January, struck on the bar and sank. The Lifeboat Providence was launched to her assistance, took off her crew of three hands and safely landed them at Dundalk..
