ALDEBURGH.—The ketch Oak, of Lowestoft, was observed disabled and shipping heavy seas while a strong E. gale was blowing, on the 4th January. The Lifeboat Aldeburgh was launched at about 12.40 P.M., and overtook the ketch near the Whiting Sand, on which she would in all probability have stranded. The Life-boat men warned the master of his danger, advised him to steer more to the southward, and at his request put four men on board to take the- vessel to Harwich, the Life-boat accompanying her..
