RUNSWICK.—While a gale of wind was blowing from the N.E., with a heavy sea,on the 5th November, the schooner Jane and Ellen, of and for Whitby, from Seaham, with a cargo of coal, lost her sails and became unmanageable. She showed signals of distress, and at 6.40 P.M. the Life-boat Cape of Good Hope put off to her assistance, and brought safely ashore her crew of two men. The vessel became a total wreck..
