That this Meeting fully recog- nizing the importance and national character of the work carried on by the ROYAL NATIONAL LIFE-BOAT INSTI- TUTION and the self-denying gallantry of the Life-boat Coxswains and crews, desires also to express its high appre- ciation of the valuable help given to the cause by the Local Honorary Secretaries, Treasurers, Committees, and the Press. It further desires to urge on the public the desirability of establishing through the length and breadth of the country Ladies' Com- mittees and " Life-boat Saturday " and " Life-boat Sunday " collections, with the view of affording the masses Moved by Sir EDWARD BIRKBECK, Bart., V.P.
