MONTROSE.—On the 3rd May, the Lifeboat Augusta was again launched to the assistance of fishing boats which were in danger. Two French fishing boats and eight other boats were seen in the offing while a strong gale from the E.N.E. was blowing and a very heavy sea was running. With the help of the Life-boat some of the boats managed to cross the bar and to safely enter the harbour; but others would not incur the risk and made for Johnshaven and the Firth of Forth..
