The Fishin Boat Aurora

PETERHEAD.—It was reported at o'clock on the morning of the 24th September that a vessel was on the rocks at Scotstown Head, about six miles to the N. of Peterhead. A thick mist prevailed at the time, and as a strong breeze was blowing from the E.N.E. and the.sea was rising, it was feared that the lives of those on board the vessel would be in danger; the Life-boat, People's Journal No. 1, was therefore launched, and proceeded to their assistance. On reaching the vessel, it was found that she was the fishing-boat, Aurora, of Pittullie ; two small fishing-boats were with her, and with their help and that of the Life-boat men, the vessel was got off the rocks and taken into the South Harbour, without much apparent damage..
