PALLING.—During a strong wind from the N.E. with a heavy sea and foggy weather, the No. 2 Life-boat, British Workman, put off at 6 P.M. on the 15th of April to the assistance of the barque Franziska, of Porsgrund, Norway, bound from that port for Liverpool, with a cargo of pit-wood, which had stranded on the Hasborough Sand. The Life-boat remained by the vessel during the night, and in the morning, finding her rapidly breaking up, took off her crew, consisting of ten men, and landed them safely at 1 P.M. Shortly after leaving the vessel she became a total wreck..
