Tam-o'-Shanter

FOWEY.—At about 12.30 A.M., on the 18th November, a flare-up light was shown by the schooner Tam-o'-Shanter, of Goole, bound from Dartmouth for Par in ballast, which was drifting before a heavy E. gale in the direction, of the Killyvarder Bocks bordering on the Par Sands. The Life-boat Arthur Hill proceeded to her assistance, and remained by her until the wind moderated. The vessel held to her anchors, and no further assistance being required, the Life-boat returned to her station, arriving at 4 A.M..
