BARMOUTH, NOETH WALES.—At noon on the 27th November The Jones Oibb Life-boat was launched, Captain LA PEIMAUDAYE, E.N., District Inspector of Lifeboats, who was at the station on a visit of inspection, going out in her, to the assistance of a small vessel which was making for the bar during a gale of wind from the W.N.W. and a heavy sea. On reaching the vessel, which proved to be a steam-launch named the Asie, of Portsmouth, being taken to Liverpool to be fitted with boilers, her crew of two men were found to be in a most exhausted state, having been in the bay all night, and the vessel was partly filled with water. The Life-boatmen gave every assistance, and brought the vessel safely into harbour. There is no doubt that in the absence of the timely help given by the Life-boat the vessel would have struck on the bank, and would have become a total wreck..
