AHBROATH.—Shortly before 1 P.M. on the 23rd January the People's Journal No. 2 Life-boat was launched, during a strong gale of wind from the S.S.E., accompanied by hail and rain, with a high sea on the bar, to the assistance of a number of fishing-boats which had been overtaken by the storm, and were in danger of being swamped. The Life-boat was pulled outside the bar, and remained in attendance until the boats had reached the harbour in safety..
