Marquis
The Oaister No. 2 Life-boat, the Godsend, was launched at 1 A.M. on the 29th September to the aid of the schooner Marquis, of Anglesea, which had stranded on the north end of the Barber Sand, during a strong wind from the S.S.W. With the help of the Life-boat crew the vessel was got afloat and taken into Yarmouth harbour.
She was on a voyage from Newry to Newcastle with a cargo of stone, and carried a crew of four men..
