Enigma

On the afternoon of the 6th March, at about 5 o'clock, a schooner was observed coming from the W. and making for Serabster Boads. As the sea was very heavy, and the wind was blowing strongly from the N., fears were entertained that she would drive ashore. The Life-boat Charley Lloyd therefore put off and found her to be the Enigma, of Port St. Mary, Isle of Man, bound from Euncorn to Arbroath with a cargo of salt. She brought up far out in the roadstead, and her crew, consisting of five men, were landed by the Life-boat..
