SEATON CAREW,—On the morning of the 5fch December the brigantine Hoppet, of Helsingborg, Sweden, bound from Moss to Seaham with a cargo of pit props, was observed making for the land, during & terrific gale of wind from the E., with snow showers and a very heavy sea. The vessel ultimately stranded opposite Seaton low lighthouse, whereupon the Life-boat Job niiuUey was launched, proceeded to the wreck, and took her crew of seven men safely ashore..
