The Danish Schooner William

WHITBY.—At about 8.30 A.M. on the 20th September, during a strong wind from the E.N.E. and a heavy sea, the Danish schooner William was • observed to be making for the harbour, when she became embayed, and was obliged anchor in a very dangerous position.

At about 11 A.M. she showed signals distress, in response to which the Lifei boat, Robert and Mary Ellis, proceeded her aid, and remained by her about two hours, when the master decided to send a telegram for the services of a steamtug, which message the Life-boat brought ashore..
