PALLING, NORFOLK.—On the 15th January, at 7.30, A.M., during squally weather, a vessel was observed ashore on the Hasborough Sand. The No. 2 Life-boat British Workman was launched and proceeded to the distressed vessel, which proved to be the Russian barque Marie, maize laden, from New York to Hull.

With the assistance of a steam-tug she was got off the sand and taken to Yarmouth.

She had a crew of 12 men..
