Fishing Cobles
STAITHES, YORKSHIRE.—On the 12th September, the Life-boat Hannah Somerset went out to the assistance of several fishing cobles which had been overtaken by a sudden gale from the N., accompanied by a heavy sea, and were in great danger.
She conveyed ropes, anchors, &c., by which means several of the cobles were saved.
Three of the boats, however, were driven on shore, and were totally wrecked..
