White Rose

GORLESTON.—On the afternoon of the 15th April, the smack White Rose, of Yarmouth, whilst endeavouring to enter Tarmouth Harbour, inconsequence of a heavy ground swell, and a considerable sea on the bar, ran aground on it. A yawl which went to render assistance found the sea too heavy, and the Life-boat Leicester was then launched; and after two hours' hard work on the part of the Life-boat crew, the White Rose was got afloat again and safely into harbour..
