Rebecca and Mary

PORTHDINLLAEN.—At daybreak on the 30th Jan. the schooner Rebecca and Mary, of Carnarvon, was observed riding at anchor in a dangerous position off the Lifeboat Station, with a signal of distress flying. It was blowing a hard gale from N.N.W., which is nearly right into Porthdinllaen Bay. The Life-boat Cotton Sheppard was launched, and succeeded in boarding the distressed vessel, whose crew of 5 men, momentarily expecting the vessel's cable to part, were very thankful for the Life-boat services, and were safely landed by 10 A.M..
