Charlotte and Flora
About 6.30 A.M. on the 20th February signals of distress were shown by some vessels at anchor in the roads. A heavy gale was blowing from the N.W. The Life-boat was launched, and boarded, first of all, the three-masted schooner Charlotte, which, however, only required a steam-tug to be sent to her. She thenproceeded to the ship Flora, of Liverpool, in the old harbour, which vessel she supplied with a pilot and 2 men to assist in weighing, and returned to her station by 9 A.M..
