Margaritta

NEWCASTLE, Co. DOWN.—On the evening of the 26th December a vessel was reported to be ashore in Dundrum Bay.

A very severe gale was raging at the time.

The Life-boat Reigati was promptly launched, and succeeded in rescuing the crew, 4 in number, from the vessel, which proved to be the schooner Margaritta, of Newquay, South Wales. She was on voyage from Swansea to Newry, with cargo of coal, and had been driven ashore by the severity of the gale..
