Thistle

On the 24th December, at 9 A.M., the smack Thistle, of Oastletown, bound from Ramsey to Castletown, having parted her principal cables and sprung a leak, hoisted signals of distress. It was blowing a heavy gale at S.W., and the Life-boat Two Sisters at once launched, and, standing off under sail, succeeded in rescuing the crew of 3 men from the Thistle.
