On the 14th November, dur- ing a heavy westerly gale, the schooner Henrietta,, of Truro, which was at anchor in a dangerous position off the Selsey Bocks, hoisted signals of distress, and the Life-boat Four Sisters was launched to render aid; but, the tide and gale being against her, she had to return, after a hard struggle, and wait till the tide turned at 10 P.M., when a second attempt was made; and shortly before miiinight the distressed vessel was boarded, and found to have sustained damage aloft, and to be riding heavily with three anchors down.
