3.—That this Meeting, having listened with much attention to the interesting de- tails given in the Report just read, deems this great and national Institution de- serving of the continued encouragement and support of the Public, to enable it to pursue, with undiminished vigour, its important and benevolent work of Saving Life from Shipwreck on our Coasts.

4.—That this Meeting desires publicly to acknowledge the continued brave and devoted services of the Coxswains, and other Volunteers, through whose praise- worthy and noble efforts the Life-boats of Seconded by The Eight Hon. LORD LISGAR, K.C.B.

5.—That this Meeting offers its cordial thanks to THOMAS CHAPMAN, Esq., F.R.S., V.P., Chairman; to the Committee of Ma- nagement, and to the Officers of the In- stitution, for the able manner in which they continue to administer its important and extensive affairs.

Also to the Honorary Local Committees and Secretaries of the several Branches of the Institution, for their continued able assistance.
