Again, on the 5th Nov., the schooner Mary Grace, of Whitstable, went on the South Cross Sand, during a strong wind from the S.W. and in a heavy sea. As the tide made, the sea broke over her, and she filled with water. The large Life- boat went off to her, and, with the aid of two steamers, she and her crew of 7 men were rescued from their perilous situa- tion.
