The Screw Steamer Rubens, of Liverpool

NEWHAVEN.— On the 17th January, soon after noon, the Life-boat Elizabeth, Soys was launched, and proceeded to the assistance of the screw steamer Rubens, of Liverpool, bound from Buenos Ayres to Antwerp, which vessel had gone ashore in a thick fog under Beachy Head. The Life-boat remained in attendance for the two following days and nights, till a change of weather rendered her presence no longer necessary..
