Elizabeth, of Llanelly

At daylight on the llth April the schooner Elizabeth, of Llanelly, was discovered in a dangerous position, on a lee shore, 5 miles from this station. It was blowing a gale from the N.E. at the time, accompanied by heavy. squalls of snow: and the vessel was riding with three anchors down, all her masts gone by the board, and the bulwarks washed away. The Life-boat James Sturm was manned, and stood off to the vessel under sail. She succeeded in boarding her, and landed the entire crew of 5 persons in safety about noon..
