3. That this Meeting has listened, with profound admiration, to the accounts given in the Annual Report of the NATIONAL LIFE-BOAT INSTITUTION of the success which, under Providence, continues to attend the perilous adventures of its Life-boats.
That, considering the magnitude of the present operations of the Institution, and its humanising influence on our coast population, this Meeting is of opinion that no effort should be spared in strengthen- ing the hands of its Managers, to enable them to pursue with renewed vigour the merciful and patriotic work of the Life- boat Institution.

Also to the Honorary Local Committees of the several Branches of the Institution, and to our Coast boatmen and fishermen, for their zealous and valuable co-operation.
