Flora, of Poole

The small surf Life-boat on this station, the Duff, went off on the 16th January, 1871, to the brig Flora, of Poole, which had parted her anchors and gone on the beach during a strong gale from the South. Proceeding through a heavy surf to the vessel, the Life-boat was fortunately enabled to rescue the crew of 6 men, all of whom were safely landed..
